Hurricane Ike Destroys Chase Tower

The afternoon after Ike tore through Galveston and Houston, I went downtown to photograph the devastation I had heard about on the radio (no electricity for us). While there, I decided to shoot/stream live video just like the rest of the national media there.

By the way, you can hear the police preventing pedestrians from getting anywhere near these buildings with debris on the streets, but I was embedded… for awhile.

Micro video blogging just took another lap forward with 12seconds. This sweet web app allows you to post video clips where you can say hello, tell a quick joke or just to say what you are doing at the moment. 12seconds has really got some video mojo!

Daphne’s first flight from Birmingham to Chicago was a success, she loved it! Airline passenger POV here mostly for my little brother (26) who can’t fly even though his 10 month niece can. Enjoy!
